A Stay-cation with a taste of France

End of school activities? Busy spring schedule? Errands to do? No time for date night? You could take a break from your Burlington errands and relax in an authentic French Bistro.

Just take a little detour from the big box stores in Essex to Church Street. There, on the corner of Church and College Street a little bit of Paris is waiting for you. Discover Jazz Fest Returning to Church St.

Discover Jazz Festival has a special place in Stowe Local’s heart.  When we returned to Vermont 10+ years ago, the Jazz fest was one of the first music events we attended.  While not in Stowe, it’s a great opportunity to find some fun in Burlington for a night or two.

It all kicks off with Long Trail Live on June 5th.   The Festival will be taking over the Church St. Marketplace with performances by Nuf Said, Dwight Ritcher and his Organ Trio, Nephrok! All-Stars, FULL TANG, Madaila, & Grundlefunk.

From Noon to ~Six every day the festival hosts over 600 student musicians representing over 40 middle, high and other school groups. Check out the full schedule here…

In addition to these smaller acts, there are more widely known headliners, check out the ticketed shows here…
